Tuas Power Promo Code RCC7737 - Great Customer Service - Huge Savings

The Open Electricity Market (OEM) allows us to enjoy more choices and flexibility when buying electricity from one of the twelve Open Electricity Market Retailers or even buying at wholesales price directly from SP. It is not compulsory for each household to switch to a retailer but it is cheaper by at least 20% to make the switch. To understand all the little details about OEM, you may wish to refer to OEM website or EMA website

So now buying electricity is something like choosing which main Telcom company to sign your contract with, whether its SingTel, M1, Starhub and also which plan to choose..but now one has to decide among 12 OEM Retailers or buying from SP at wholesale electricity price, and also choose 1 out of a few price plans.

Do you prefer a fixed rate throughout your contract term or do you want to have a flat discount off prevailing regulated tariff? Well for me, I chose having a fixed rate throughout the 36 month contract so there will not be any surprise mid-way but if you are sure or can predict that the tariff will drop over the coming months or years, then you can opt to have a flat discount off prevailing regulated tariff. Either one, it will be cheaper than the regular tariff charged by SP.

Why did I choose Tuas Power 6 months ago?
1) Integrated SP billing
This is actually one of the main factors I had in mind when choosing which OEM Retailer to switch to. It is really troublesome to log into an app or website to retrieve a bill, and risk paying a fine if one forget to pay the bill. With an integrated SP billing, everything will remain the same as before, except a cheaper bill. Integrated bill also mean we can continue to use the U-save GST voucher to offset our whole SP monthly bill as usual.

During my research, some companies do not even have paper statement even if you willing to pay for it, and some charge $1-2 monthly for sending the paper statement to you. If you are into integrated billing like me, then you only need to zoom in to 4 namely Ohm, Tuas Power, Best Electricity or buying from SP at wholesale electricity price.

2) Highest direct bill rebate
Got $120 direct rebate in my bill about 1 month later I signed up online, without having to fulfill any credit card spending, some OEM retailers partnered with some banks to give you a certain rebate in return when you spent $xxx amount. This would mean more money spent and if unlucky did not meet the required spending due to delayed posting date or other reasons, would also mean zero rebate from the bank.
3) Great customer service
During my research I called up Tuas Power hotline and asked quite a number of questions, and I was impressed with the patience and knowledge of the friendly customer service officer. I also tested their service via facebook and they were equally prompt and genuine in their replies. Yes, their service won me over. At least I know if half way through my contract if I ever encounter any problem, I know I can find help easily. See the first picture, Tuas Power is 1 of the 12 OEM retailers that has the highest 4-stars rating from the Energy Market Authority's Consumer Satisfaction Survey.

Tuas Power Hotline: 6838 6888 (Mon-Fri, 9am to 5.30pm)

4) Earn 1 LinkPoint with every 8 kWh used
If a household uses an average of 300 kWh per month, there would mean earning 37.50 Link points per month which work out to 450 Link points in a year. That is $3 cash rebate. Not alot lah.. but its free Link points.

P.S. If you are currently not a Plus! member, sign up for your complimentary membership and earn up to 150 LinkPoints for free! https://savewithtuas.com/residential/our-electricity-plans/

5) 17.98 cents per kWh (with GST)
To be honest, this rate is not the lowest in the market but not the most expensive either, but their customer service, highest direct bill rebate and integrated billing are the deciding factors for me. But 17.98 cents is a huge saving compared to 25.06 cents charged by SP.

6) Free 12 months Aviva insurance 7) 1% cash rebate using POSB Everyday card 8) No need pay security deposit

9) Unique Referral Code given to you once you signed up
I know there is a OEM retailer which uses one's registered mobile number as the referral code. So if you are uncomfortable with this, then you can consider Tuas Power or other OEM retailers which give you a unique referral code when you signed up. But Tuas Power's Referral code is quite powerful...

The good news is you can now enjoy extra $20 cash rebate when using my code "RCC7737"

For me, I signed up for PowerFix 36 to lock in the low rate of $0.1798 per kWh (including GST) as the rate may increase. Totally no regrets!

Remember to use my code "RCC7737" for extra $20 bill rebate!

Just now I mentioned that you will be given a unique referral code right? Tuas Power's referral code is quite special and powerful .. How powerful can a referral code be? Read on...

From 1 August 2019, Tuas Power launched a new Loyalty Referral Program called Referral+ in which you will get $20, $10 and $5 referral rebates, depending on the referral tier.

Here’s an example of how the Referral+ works:
Tier 1: When you refer your friend Alice (Tier 1), you will get $20.
Tier 2: When Alice refers her friend Bernice, you will get $10.
Tier 3: When Bernice refers another friend Calvin, you will get $5.
It’s a multiplying effect so refer more and earn more!

Yes, machiam like MLM concept (",) but in a good way since we do not need to force people to buy things. The referral rebates earned will be reflected in your SP bill and use to offset your monthly water and electricity fee. You will receive an email to inform you of your referral(s) within 3 to 6 weeks after your referee has successfully transferred to Tuas Power.

I believe Tuas Power is the only OEM Electricity Retailer now that offers this 3-tier referral program at the point I am typing this.

So if you are still considering which OEM Electricity Retailer to switch, can consider Tuas Power and enjoy triple the goodness when you start to refer your friends and relatives to Tuas Power after you signed up.

Sign up now at www.savewithtuas.com, remember to use my code "RCC7737" to get extra $20 bill rebate.
